BEGINNING
Foreword
This website, "EKOMEDICINA", is dedicated to beekeeping products and ecomedicine, that is, a science that treats without medicines, instead providing knowledge about the mechanisms and causes of disease, and therefore also about healing.
If information about beekeeping products can be found in the Latvian mass information space, then information about ecomedicine is very scarce and fragmented.
Many people will immediately object that I must not speak about medicine because I do not have a higher medical education. Yes, I do not, and I may not prescribe treatment. However, I do have a higher engineering education and am accustomed to thinking logically, evaluating the credibility of available information; moreover, I am independent of the pharmaceutical industry. Compared with doctors, I do not have a certificate that can be taken away for disobedience.
I am troubled by the question - how can one cure patients without seriously understanding biochemistry, biophysics, dietetics, nutritional science, biology. This knowledge is necessary, so that a doctor has an understanding of the molecular mechanisms of action of dietary components.
I say this because such fields of knowledge are simply not sufficiently represented in physician training programs, whose main compiler, while taking care of its own selfish interests, is the pharmaceutical industry with its immeasurable financial resources, and which has turned doctors into distributors of its products. By contrast, from the perspective of ecomedicine, a doctor must first and foremost be a teacher of health who oversees compliance with the laws of nature. Unfortunately, the opposite happens - nature is being deceived with the help of medicines. The situation is such that pharmaceuticals finance medical education, pharmaceuticals also teach how to treat, and as a result, in the history of humanity there have never been so many drugs and so many chronic diseases. Chronic diseases are not contagious, cannot be prevented with vaccines, develop gradually, continue for a long time, and never disappear on their own.
To understand the processes taking place in the human body, medical knowledge alone is unfortunately not enough. These processes are linked to the surrounding environment and the entire ecosystem, in which the human being is one of the links. They are biochemical reactions that are mutually dependent and number in the thousands. In one living cell, more than 2,000 mutually independent biochemical reactions take place every second. The human mind cannot even fully comprehend all of this. These mechanisms of interaction are more complex than any computer program. The human organism copes with problems on its own because it is programmed to strive for health, not for disease.
The main idea set out on this website is nothing new; it was expressed by the father of medicine, Hippocrates, who said that food should be medicine and medicine should be food. In the last and the previous century, all of this was described in detail by the founders of ecomedicine, American physician-biochemists such as Paul Bragg, Norman Walker, Herbert Shelton, Arnold de Vries, and the Swiss physician-biochemist and dietologist Maximilian Bircher-Benner. I have familiarized myself with the insights of such outstanding figures as the American scientist and nutritional biochemist Colin Campbell, the American scientist, physician-dietologist, and microbiologist Robert Young, the American dietologist and cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Steven R. Gundry MD, the Russian doctor of medical sciences and psychiatrist Yuri Nikolayev, the Russian academician Alexander Ugolev, and many others. I have used biochemistry teaching materials specially developed for students and nutrition specialists. In addition, artificial intelligence functions for research and translation were used, whereas artificial intelligence text-generation technologies were not used.
In a direction similar to that presented on this website, the U.S.-based medical association Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which brings together about 150,000 members, also thinks in this way. These are doctors who do not receive money for medical research; they do it without compensation because they believe that honor and conscience stand above everything. I have also been inspired by the documentary films of the outstanding English naturalist David Attenborough.
Many will probably reproach me for the lack of references to scientific studies. This is not only because the list would become extremely long, but also because it is not always known who paid for those studies. Unfortunately, not all scientists are conscientious. Relying on pseudoscientific studies that flood today's information space is very dangerous. If there is no reliable information about the commissioners and financiers of such studies, their credibility is negligible. This is also the most frequent explanation for why study results on the same topic are often even diametrically opposed. In such a situation, all that remains is to think for oneself, compare, analyze, and draw conclusions.
To acquire and systematize such knowledge, I needed many years of intensive reading and listening to informational materials obtained from a wide variety of sources. Today's mass information space is overloaded with information about health problems. A great deal is said about how to be healthy, but unfortunately only a small part of this information is useful. Without systematizing information, informational chaos is created. It is not hard to guess who benefits from that.
You have probably noticed that both online and in the printed press, almost every informational item about health is accompanied by advertisements for medicines or medical services related to the respective topic. Such advertisements are often the main source of income for media outlets that write and speak about health topics. Even public media do not refuse advertising. Logically, an advertiser is unlikely to be happy about counter-advertising. Here is the answer for those who wonder why health problems are not discussed in the mass media from the angle presented on this website, "Ekomedicina". With the information presented here, I want to encourage people to analyze the essence of things logically themselves, rather than always blindly believing what doctors say, especially in mass media supported by the pharmaceutical industry. A person should think about how one can entrust the most precious thing - one's health - to those who are unable to put their own in order, because today's medical professionals fall ill even more often than their patients.
It is not that no one understands anything; most doctors sense the futility of their work. However, the existing system, which strictly regulates everything, has set ironclad limits for doctors - this and nothing else; otherwise, court cases or even cancellation of a doctor's certificate. If one also adds the possible bonuses from the pharmaceutical industry, then in such a situation, "going against the current" is very difficult.
The information presented on this website is disadvantageous to many and even dangerous. It makes people independent of doctors, pharmacies, and medicines; it changes people's thinking, and they become harder to manipulate. There is no doubt that, while defending their selfish and short-sighted economic interests, meat producers and processors, dairy producers, bakers, confectioners, beverage producers, conventional grain growers, forest clear-cutters, and many, many others will try to question such information. Even some beekeepers who have placed their apiaries in conventional agricultural crop fields will dislike this information, not to mention the pharmaceutical industry with its immeasurable influence. Yet the most paradoxical thing is that even those whom such knowledge could greatly help will try to question it. This is similar to blaming the mirror because one does not like one's face, because there is a type of person who always blames someone else for their problems (doctors, medicines, bad products, etc.), only not themselves. It is very difficult to give up traditions and harmful habits with narcotic-like effects, especially if they have formed over a lifetime; therefore, to justify oneself - so to speak, for one's peace of mind - all arguments will do.
No matter how uncomfortable such information may be for some, by ignoring it it is impossible to solve any of society's acute problems - COVID-19, health, demography, education, and ultimately also welfare and defense - because everything is interconnected.
By mastering the knowledge presented on this website, you will more quickly succeed in understanding your problems, and in this way you will lose less time getting to the appropriate specialist. Your conversation with that doctor about solving the health problem will also become much more constructive.
The website "Ekomedicina" is more of a charitable project than a business project. There are no advertising banners, no sponsors, and donations are not collected. The only financial support for its maintenance and development is the beekeeping products that are produced, so by choosing to purchase the offered beekeeping products, you will also support this project, which is so necessary for society as a whole in the current situation.
One must not merely believe someone, but know and understand!
If this knowledge has helped, I invite the reader to share it with others. That will be the best help in avoiding health problems. Public education on how to be truly healthy is the only chance for the survival of the people and the state in the longer term, therefore think for yourselves, analyze, and get clarity, rather than blindly believing someone, including the information provided on this website.
